COOLANT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

The coolant you fill your sump with plays an instrumental role in machining regardless of the operation; providing lubricity and heat removal at point of cutting. However, they are subject to deterioration over time. It is inevitable that they become contaminated with tramp oils, metal chips and bacteria. When a coolant deteriorates to the point where its lubricity becomes ineffective, tools dull prematurely, break frequently and fail to meet part tolerances for surface finish and size.

If this continues to go unchecked, you could encounter damages to your pumps, sumps, and even electrical components of your machine. Machine parts and interiors become susceptible to rust and corrosion, equipment surfaces suffer from abrasion, and tramp oil mist causes mechanical failures and prematurely clogs air filters. Not to mention the health hazard it poses to your operators.

By properly maintaining your coolant, you extend not only the lifespan of the coolant but also the whole “ecosystem” in your factory including your tools and machine.
